A note to douchebag criminals everywhere

When you are wanted for a crime that is less than murder, no matter who you blame it on, no matter who you are mad at, no matter if you think it can help you escape, killing someone never helps the situation. What do you hope to accomplish when you pull off such a spectacularly dumbass move? If you kill a judge, do you think that means the trial is over? If you kill a prosecutor, do you think the next one will ignore you? If you kill a cop, do you think his cop buddies will decide you are too scary to chase after? All you've done is create a much, much, much more serious charge to add to your sheet, and the motivation for everyone involved to see you brought to justice increases exponentially. (That means a lot.)

So congratulations to Brian Nichols of Atlanta, Georgia. You were facing the possibility of 15-20 years in prison for rape and assault. Now, you will almost certainly get the death penalty for killing a federal judge and a cop in front of dozens of witnesses. And they will catch you. Believe me. There's a huge difference between a wanted rapist and a wanted murderer.

From now, idiots, just blow your own brains out and let the rest of us get on with our lives. This is the very definition of senseless violence.
