Catches Of The Day*

This girl is my newest blog crush. (Is it condescending of me to say "girl"? She's probably my age and she's certainly more accomplished. But then again, I hardly consider myself a "man.") Anyway, check out Rebecca Skloot's blog, her well-written articles, and most importantly, this video she made about fish doctors.

Yes, that is a live fish being operated on. I can't even begin to explain it. Just watch.

Also, be sure to read this article she wrote about her dog being viciously mauled by a pack of wild dogs in Manhattan! It's a horrible, but also very moving story. She's an impressive writer. (Thanks be to Panopticist for leaving the trail of blog crumbs. [Hey, did I just coin an awesome Internerd phrase? Blog crumbs? Whatevs.{dot org} I'm taking credit.])

In other blog news, this might be the funniest thing I've ever read. Mmmmm ... karma tastes sweet, doesn't it?
